Tree Aid at Sculptree
Welcome to Tree Aid at Sculptree, come and relax in our inviting African themed living room complete with comfy sofa’s and funky music to inspire you to learn more about our work with families in Africa, using trees to fight poverty.
A Taste of Africa
Stroke shea nuts, smell neem soap, taste dried mango. Face painting and baobab seed planting are on offer to keep the children entertained and you can register for the Sculpture Auction if you have spotted a big carving you just can’t leave behind.
The Gallery
The Outdoor Gallery
If the big carvings are just too big, then visit the Gallery where the carvers display a selection of smaller works perfect for home and garden. From mirrors and benches, to animals for the garden, there is something affordable for everyone here. TREE AID receives a donation of 12.5% from every sale in the Gallery too, so you will be making a difference just by taking away that piece you have your heart set on.
Prize Draw
Soaring gull
All week long we will also be selling tickets for our prize draw – win a fabulous sculpture for your garden carved by Peter Walwin, an original Sculptree carver. This year’s beautiful ‘Soaring Gull’ is carved in sycamore and stands 24 inches high, a stunning addition to any home or garden. We also have a three night stay at a Natural Retreat and £500 cash!
Wood for Good
Loading Offcuts
If you are into carving yourself come and look at the off-cuts we collect from the big carvings. For large pieces of oak, maple and pine that you can transform into your own original carvings we just ask for a donation to Tree Aid. The Off-cuts are biggest at the start of the week, so if you have a particular sculpture in mind, come early to get the best selection of wood.
And don’t forget we will be painting faces as African animals throughout the weekend, so drop in and say hello.
