A great day out

Sculptree is the biggest celebration of wood carving in the South West. Eleven sculptors begin the week with 24 tonnes of wood sourced from Westonbirt Arboretum. Eight days and many roaring chainsaws later, stunning pieces of art sit majestically awaiting the opening of the Sculpture Auction at 3pm.

Since 1993 when the very first Sculptree took place at Longleat Estate, Tree Aid has been benefitting from the generosity and creativity of the sculptors, and of Westonbirt Arboretum. Since 1994 Westonbirt have played host to Sculptree and have developed the amazing programme of events that make up The Festival of the Tree which now hosts more than 30,000 visitors over the four day Bank Holiday Weekend – see you there!
